Text cleanup is safest when every transformation has a narrow purpose. The site separates detection, compatibility normalisation, formatting conversion and writing analysis.
Safe cleanup
Safe rules target control characters, zero-width format markers, Unicode spaces and trailing whitespace. Language characters and ordinary punctuation are preserved unless a user enables a specific converter.
Formatting conversion
Markdown and HTML conversion aims to preserve visible content while removing syntax. Complex structures such as tables always require review because plain text has fewer layout features.
Writing analysis
The style checker reports observable patterns. It does not assign authorship or claim that a phrase proves AI generation.
Watermark claims
Invisible Unicode characters and statistical model watermarks are different mechanisms. The site does not claim that deleting Unicode guarantees removal of a model-level watermark or changes an AI-detector result.
